About

The NFFF 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs are a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on September 11, 2001. Each participant pays tribute to a FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of a FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic  journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters are honored and that the world knows we will never forget.

The Stair Climbs fund the programs provided by the NFFF to support the families of your local fallen firefighters and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit.

“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”

Our Mission

Our Mission

To raise funds and proceeds to go to the NFFF to help create and maintain programs that support fire service survivors. Your support of the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb events provides assistance to the surviving families and co-workers of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice that day.  To raise proceeds to benefit our local 501c3 Spindletop FOOLS Regional Training Group.

Our Vision

To create an annual event to bring together our region publicly and departmentally. To create avenues for other events such as cancer awareness. To keep climbing for the firefighters who continue to assume the risks to protect their communities.
